Some time ago I watched John Jordan describe how to make the most of grain, heart wood etc in order to achieve symmetry to make bowls and vessels more attractive - this is exactly what he meant. Excellent work.
This is exactly what you are looking to do with grain patterns in wood. Center the grain in the bottom of the bowl and your customers will love it, even when they don't realize what it is that they are looking at. Great work. 8-)
