One of the problems when making a box is making sure the grains aligns well. You never get it perfect, there is always a trade off. With spalted wood it even more difficult because of the way the black spalted moves around the piece, it just never looks right
I decided to try adding a ebony collar to replace the wood that was lost when using the parting tool. I think it worked well.
