Red Buckeye Burl. My step mother graduated from Ohio State, so I couldn't think of a better gift (OSU is the Buckeyes, and one of their colors is red) The dye is a little darker in the middle than the outside of the blank, but I am so loving the burl

Buckeye burl is one of my favorite things to turn, but I never saw it dyed before. Hmmmmmm . . .

Frank, Penn State and woodcraft both carry the dyed buckeye burl, and while I haven't checked, Im sure CSUSA also carries it. Nice part about is it comes already stabilized. I found a few voids, but rather than coming apart, it stayed together nicely so I could fill it with a CA slurry while sanding.
