Thanks Mike. I wish I would have taken a pic of the wood before I started turning- It honestly was a very old, dry, ugly block of warped wood- no color left- figured it was the perfect test for the tools, and if I tore it up, I didnt loose anything. Woodturning is like a box of chocolates- you never know what you are going to get (my apologies to Forrest Gump)
