A while ago my wife saw a ring box in a book I was reading on Woodturning and she said that she wanted one, so last weekend I used a branch of Poplar that her dad had given me and made this little box. The inside of the box is just large enough for a quarter to fit inside (just to give idea of size). Her wedding ring fits great inside it and she loves it. The small finial on top is African Ebony.
My first plan for a finial on top was to use Pink Ivory (my wife's favorite), but when I held it up to the Poplar with the burned lines it just didn't look right, so I went to my small scrap box and found the piece I used.
