Mark, That's a neat idea for a pen. The challenge was to do something new and different with a pen and that sure does it. I like the pen holder also Wink

I received the pen, the photo does not show the detail in the coloring. Great work, Mark. What did you use for the color?

I used a red sharpie and friction burned the dark lines. At first, I tried a black sharpie for the lines and the two bled together when I applied spray shellac. Jay, Sorry for the unclear picture.

I wasn't complaining about the picture, just trying to say how nice the pen looks in person. The picture is very artistic and much better than the ones I post. I find that most pieces look better in person and that it is hard to catch all of the detail in a picture. Great work on the pen and the sphere arrived today. Thank you for the surprise. It is very nice. What kind of wood is it? You should post a picture of your sphere jig.
