C&T first lidded box

My first box, after 3 attempts. Mystery wood salvaged from a neighbors yard last summer. 3.8"H x 3.2"W. Finished with Tung Oil. This simple box definitely challenged me. I am so hooked on boxes now. I look forward to the next challenge.

That's very nice! Looks like the mystery wood could be apple. The grain lines up so well it's hard to see the join and the shape makes you want to hold it.
