C&T: Spalted Chestnut box

A nice, little, 3" x 3" (including finial), box. You'll note the brass finial: It was turned by me on my lathe w/wood turning tools. It started life as a 2" x 1/2" soft brass rod.

the top really blends in nice, and that brass finial really adds to the box it looks like it was part of the wood as it was turned, very cool box.

Very nice Bud. Is your lid inset into the top of the box? That's a very neat way of using a natural edge piece of burl and I really like the brass knob too.
