Absolutely amazing goblet! Where to start? The shape of the cup smacks of modern art. The natural detail of which you took great advantage, on the cup, is very pleasing and unique. What to say of the stem? Ah, and the detail underneath the cup. The proportion question, given that tall stem, is solved by the shape of the cup. The captive ring adds a bit of fun to it all. This one will be attempted by many turners. Congratulations S.J.!
Jeff your goblets are amazing! I will love what ever you put in the box and send to me. I just hope that you like the lacewood that I send you. This was quite a challenge to me. Again your goblets are just amazing! Sent you a email.
Wow!! Thanks Kid! I know nothing about modern art and all that!! I just thought the sapwood would add a little contrasting color! Ive got another small chinese elm goblet that that I did "design" around the sapwood. I'll post a pic of that one soon. Thanks again all!
Rev, this one was NOT the one you saw when you were here. You are thinking of the chinaberry goblet, and no it is still twisted a bit. I thought I did better on this one, so the chinaberry one was put on the shelf
