My C&T piece. Cocobolo goblet, 7 1/2" tall, stem is 6" long, 1/8" dia. throughout. Captive ring at the bottom. Bowl is approx. 1 1/2" dia x 1 1/2" tall, 1/16" wall thickness. Sanded to 600, friction polish finish.
Sooooo delicate. Very good work. I agree with Curt, the choice of wood had a lot to do with this piece being so nice. Your skills brought out the intricate details that were hiding within it. Again, very nice. 8)
Thanks guys, this was my last minute (remembered this afternoon - oh crap gottan turn my trade piece!) attempt. Fortunately had a couple of blanks of cocobolo lying around and this one was perfect for the job. It's probably one of the best and my favorites for goblets, the tight, strong grain helps with distortion and flex...If I had more time, this probably could have been 10" easily.
