Maple Burl

I actually turned this piece about 2 weeks ago on Big Blue, but just this evening I got the final wax on it. Measures about 9 3/4" x 2, finished with Velvit Oil, buffed, and waxed. This one is destined as a gift to the people who sold me the lathe. I look forward to the day I can present it to them. Questions, Comments, and Critiques welcome and desired.

Love it. I think it is a wonderful thank you. My only critique is with the picture. Putting it on top of the colored boxes is distracting.

Dale, it really does not show the beauty of this wood at all. More light and more zoom would have done wonders. Then again, setting up my photo booth would have helped too. Just another of those things that hasn't gotten done yet since the move. One of those days ... , one of these days ...
