Hey Mike, great piece. The colors and movement in the wood are fantastic. On the board you were mentioning the movement in the wood as in warpage. I think I see the issue, you're a bit too close to the pith. You will have a warped rim. If you've turned it under 1/4", more like 1/8" would be even better, you will probably escape cracking. I like it no matter. I'd love to see it again in about 6 months just to compare what it is now and then. 8^)
Well, its been over two weeks now, I guess Friday the 13th aren't all bad luck, talked to Nancy the other day and she said the bowl was doing just great, no cracks and hasn't move much more than it had when I gave it to her, that makes me really happy and she said she loved it even more sense it came from the tree that was in their yard.Wizzy
