Russan Yarn spindles

These are Russan yarn spindles that i made for the local spinning club. They need to be 1.5 oz. or less to spin fine thread. thes range fron 0.85 to 0.5 oz. They are aprox. 10" long and 0.75" to 1.125" in diameter. There is no finish on them. A finish could rub off on the yarn. They are just sanded to 1000 grit and then buffed with white diamond.
Top to bottom Santago mahogany, spalted english walnut sap wood, ebony alowood, teak, Silver alowood, ebony alowood, and purple heart.
