This is a little juniper piece. This winter has been hard on trees and I'm getting all kinds of wood. The pith on this was very close to one side. I think the tree had been split while it was young. Since it isn't very round, I thought it would make a fun natural edge piece and the log was only about seven inches wide. Not much for a bowl but this was a fun one.
I've been very active at the lathe this winter. I just haven't shown but a small fraction because most of it isn't all that different. I've been trying to force myself to try new things and these recent ones are a departure from my norm. I've also turned a lot of blanks that are drying for later.
Live long, love lots, and turn fast.
