Russian olive platter

I got on a kick of making plates this last week-end. This one is 11 1/2 wide and about an inch thick. When I slabbed this out of an old dry Russian olive log I was given, I thought it would be too thin but it worked out. I didn't make much of a coupe on it because I wanted a platter I could serve a cake on the next time I make someone a birthday cake. It is finished just with walnut oil.
