This was a large one. It is about twelve inches tall by about ten inches wide. Being end grain, it took quite a while to turn. I turned it to finish thickness using a light to judge how thick it was and boiled it to stop cracking but still ended up with one small crack that was repaired with coffee and CA. The finish is spray one polly.
Hi Robert. Haven't been here in a while. Glad I popped in, because I like this bowl very much A shame about the crack..booo!!! But it's still a bowl that is well balanced at the rim, so it's quite nice.
Thanks Michelle. I don't mind the crack all that much. It was much wider at one point and almost closed up as it dried. I half expected it to turn into firewood as I saw the crack start.
Live long, love lots, and turn fast.
