Spalted Maple 10 inches in diameter. Look closely, the circles alternate, and only go 1/2 way around. I have been experimenting with my methods. This is my newest, and I am closing in slowly on differing ways to make negative space designs. Almost each one has needed different ways to achive my design goals. I have now given this process about 15 months. Hope I'm nearing the end! Hope you enjoy
I hope you are NOT NEAR THE END! Your work is evolving and getting better.
The squirrel must continue. I will even send you some acorns to keep you going.
As usual, you've made something absolutely beautiful. Very nice work and I agree with Bill. You may stop experimenting but you can't stop making these. They are too fantastic not to make more.
Live long, love lots, and turn fast.
Hi Ville thanks for your comments. Almost all are made differently. There is no one method. Some use scrollsaws, some carving, along with turning. I do not have CNC, A torque or anything else people think I must have. I thought up what I call organic segmentation. All segmentation has been little triangles , stacked up and turned. I wondered why. Why couldn't they be organically shaped and stacked & turned. Some pieces use this method. Go to your shop, open your mind about your tools and show us what you can think up!
