Guardian of the sacred forest egg.

Spalted oak & sycamore 11 turned pieces counting the leg supports and 4 carvings 5.5"wide 6.5"high. Oak body was the left over from band sawing a bowl (picture it side ways)and relief carved around the opening.. Petals holding the egg were turned and heavily carved. Top was turned and carved and dimpled. Top finial is pine straw. Danish oil on the oak rest is air brushed.
