Lacewood and Maple. The bottom finial is suspended from the top one with filament wire so when you look through the hollowed Lacewood you don't see anything. Fun project!!! Danish oil is still a little damp here...I'm cutting it close.

I put tiny eyelets from old fishing lures in the top and bottom finials and tied some filament wire between the two. I did all of this before the top finial was glued in to the hollowed part so I could adjust the length. Once I had the length right I then glued the top finial into the hollowed portion. After doing this I see lots of options for doing this style.
