My cousin Dave visited me a short time ago and we decided he would give the lathe a try. With a little help, this is what he came up with. He's a machinist and took to the tools rather well. It's walnut with some color and texturing. 10" dia. X 2" tall. Finished with Tung oil and Beall buffed. I'm sending him this thread, so tell him what you think. Thanks my friends, Don L.
You must have a special Leydons Lathe, another beauty, I can see another Lathe being bought soon........
Ruining lots of good wood to get a few average bits.

Thanks Bill, Leo and Ken! Dave wrote me about reading this and is really getting a kick out of it. He does some incredible machining work and is a great guy. Keep 'em coming!
