Plain Maple Bowl

The other day I got the urge to just make a good ole, no frills, no embellishments bowl. This was from a friends wood pile (thanks, Rich). It was quite spalted, but not punky at all. 9" dia. X 2.25" tall. Finished with Tung oil and Beall buffed. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.

Looks great Don. I know feeling the need to turn a straight bowl. I knocked off three camphor bowls a short time ago and I think that all the artsy stuff I was doing improved my design of them.

Don: the bowl looks wonderful. Light, lift & shape. It's a great bowl in the tradition of "useful" turnings. Plain can be very beautiful
