small spalted walnut hf

Measurement is 6.75x6.75, finished with AO and buffed. Guess I just can't bring myself to turn away that spalting in the sap wood. Just gives the walnut a bit of a different look than an all black piece.

I think leaving the spalting in the finished piece gives it character. Great HF.

why would you get rid of the eye candy part of the vessel? It would be very pretty without it as it is well turned and amazingly finished, but the spalted sap is eye grabbing
