1st ne bowl Cherry

This is my 1st ne bowl. Sides are about 3/8" (forgot to measure), about 7" wide and 4 3/4" tall. Finished in wipe on poly.

nice bowl..how are those cracks? Progressing? or are they stopped? Hope they are stopped. I think you got the rim well balanced on the bowl.

Looks great Kathy, how much super glue/ CA. did it take ? I'd have used at least two bottles, but I am heavy handed !! I bet you didn't use any at all !

Ruining lots of good wood to get a few average bits.

Michelle, cracks are stopped and everything seems stable so far. The rim is fairly thick but it just felt right for the size of the bowl. Not a delicate piece by any means, but it works for me and I'm glad you like it.

Leo, I probably used less than a 1/4 of a 2oz bottle of thin CA and maybe a little less of medium CA. I used the thin CA first to soak into the fibers then used medium CA to fill the voids (and coffee for the bigger cracks).

Can't wait to try another!
