...or should i say a vase from a burl?? i honestly can't remember the wood, but i think i was told it was sweetgum. very soft and punky, but with two coats of sealer, and a top coat of lacquer, it firmed up nicely. 9in.x6in.
It looks like you took advantage of an opening in the top piece to make the mouth of the vase. If that's the case, what an EXTREMELY cool idea. I really like that! Heavy thumbs up!!!!

don, i wasn't quite that lucky. the opening in the center is one i made and then hollowed through. all the other openings came from the natural low spots in the burl. but i am glad you think it looks nature made.
