What a yarn

Here is a couple of pens made of knitting yarn. The yarn is wrapped around the tubes and soaked with thin Ca glue. They are built up with thick CA glue and turned. The one on the left is a slimline and the other is a gold titanium baron.

I have an idea. we should do a challenge and trade that is to out do Smokey and see who can make a pen out of the most unusual material Smile

Tom, I was just thinking about yarn the other day. Have some denim ready to cut into small strips and glue to the barrels. Guess I'll have to do some yarn soon too. Very cool. 8)

Those are some neat pens. They remind me of a package of lifesavers. That's a great way to photograph them too.

Thanks for the comments. I wish the picture was better but my old 1.3 mega pixel camera leaves a lot to be desired.
Philip, you notice that I stay away from the challanges. I have to get a lot better at bowls and platters before I join in.
Gil, its a single layer on both pens.
