Oak Burl Designer Pens

Five pens turned from the wood harvested from the Thomas Boyd Live Oak. This tree was one of the oldest Live Oaks in Louisiana (250+ years), until it was uprooted during Hurricane Gustav in 2008. Finished with FP and RW after sanding to 12,000 grit. Comments and critiques are appreciated.

Great job with some fantastic wood. That tree has so much history. Would be cool if it could only tell 1% of the stories that it lived through. 8-)
