the mallee is gorgeous..and your turning of it FANTASTIC..It could very easily have "stood" on it's own, without the base and been delightful..Thanks for sharing this unusual & lovely piece with us

Thank you for your comments. The Mallee Burl was originally intended to be a goblet . . . I have more of these "corner cuts" from burl slabs, so might actually make a goblet next time.
