Box #2

My 2nd attempt at a lidded box. Somehow the picture in my head, didn't quite make it through my hands to the piece. I think I kept the base to big, the lower half of the box should have been rounder and the cut-out above the base a little deeper.

What I see is a good eye for matching your grain, that is as important as your shape. A lot of times, what you see in your head is not want you end up with, but you still get experience and you end up with a nice piece even if your shape isn't what you planned. I think you did pretty darn good for just your second box... nicely done!

I wished that half my work would end up looking like I what planned on.Thats why I quite plannin.Only thing I think on this one is the finial could have been a tad smaller at the base.
