Maple Burl Bowl

This is a Maple burl bowl. Such nice grain, I just kept it clean (mostly). A little texturing and coloring around the rim. It 13" dia. X 5.5" tall. Finished with tung oil and Beall buffed.Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.

big bowl..I like the slanted lines/detail Always hard to know when to embellish, how much to embellish & when to leave the darn thing alone. I think this is just about right. Thanks for sharing it with us

Looks like you got a really nice continuous curve on this piece. The band at the rim looks good. You might try moving it down the side of the bowl and let it be totally separate from the rim. However, your adding a bead both above and below has tied it in to the top really well. I love what you've done. 8-)
