Maple and Walnut box. 1 5/8" tall, 1 7/8" wide finished with wipe on poly and then bealle buffed. Had a blast making this. This is attempt 2 as attempt 1 flew across the garage when buffing. I wanted something small but still semi-functional so I guess you can put a couple dollars worth of change in it Jeff
Tom, it is just some build of carnuba from the bealle buffing. I have tried to carefully scrape it out, but the grooves are really thin and I don't want to take a chance and mare the lid. I don't know how to get it out of there any other way...any thoughts?
Jeff, I have had that happen with the White Diamond wheels and dark wood. If there is any kind of sharp edge or detail it sticks in there. Solution? No except to pick it out! I quit using the white wheels when buffing that type of piece. Hadn't had a problem with Carnuba.
It don't mean nothing, not a thing!
It still looks great.
