Rainbow Wood Box

Rainbow Wood Box. 7"x4". Finished with Mahoneys Walnut oil then buffed. I know some of you may feel the finial is too long, but it was the only one of many that I tryed that I liked. Comments and critiques allways welcome.

Fine box, with a very smooth finish. At first glance, the finial does seem a bit too long, but maybe it just needs a 'little' more width or flair at its base. Or, could be, it is good just like is (it looks better if I look at it longer).

Interesting design Gary. Maybe try a beaded box with the same finial and it would have a different effect?

Jimmy I think this is some kind of Blood wood. It came from South America via West Pen Hardwoods.
