Neighbor cut his Bradford Pear tree so I made a vase from it. My first natural edge. Micro waved it to dry it. Grain sealer to hold the bark on, then buffing compound and carnuba polished. Has a porcelain look to it. Herb
I might add that this is also my first green cut to a finished product in one day without cracks or warpage. The vase is now about a week old and all is good. Herb
Natural edges and green turning are a lot of fun. I like to throw them in a lot. One of the things I like about natural edges is that you don't see them all that often outside these forums. Keep it up. You'll find more and more unique shapes as you play with this style.
Live long, love lots, and turn fast.
