This is one of those pieces that sat around the shop till I got the courage to actually turn it. Sure didn't want an "Ooops" to happen with this one. Put 3 photos up in case some of you guys wanted a good look at the grain. The photos don't show it, but it took a terrific finish. Like glass. It's 10" wide X 5" tall. Tung Oil and Beall buffed. I have some green cherry I'll have to dig into. I've made a couple goblets out of the branches but I haven't had the guts to dig into the trunk. It seems to crack just looking at it. Boiling seems to work better than LDD though.
