Nic, this shape doesn't grab me.
The wood is beautiful and the finish is good.
It looks like the rim is hollowed underneath?
That adds interest.

Hi Nic! I agree with Tom. Perhaps if the outside was rounded off? Just a thought. Much better here than in the fire!

Your absolutly correct, the rim is drastically undercut and concaved.
I didn't particulary like the shape either. But it has grown on me. Besides,while I was turning it. My dearly beloved, said that, "if I changed the shape or gave it away... I would be sleeping in the dog box." So, I did what all of us brave men do. I said "YES DEAR."
