While the wood really does not need any embellishment, the outer edge chatter (?) work is nicely done. Again, the crotch flame is beautiful, and your beads are well shaped.
Gary you have 'the touch'. That's a beautiful platter from a beautiful piece of wood. Out of curiosity, is the poplar hard to turn, sort of fuzzy like it's relatives the cottonwood and aspen?
Gorgeous piece Gary. Was that the chatter tool or the texturing tool or the spiralling tool that you used? The pattern looks like it was very controlled.
