Cedar Bowl

This was turned from green, boiled for several hours, then finish dried in the microwave. I've come to like this process.

Sanded down to 1200 then finished with wax. It is a little lighter and not as shiny as the lacquer finished pieces but you can smell the cedar better.

So far, I've only had one crack and I'm not sure if it was a remnant from when I had a catch and pulled the blank out of the chuck and it went flying across the shop.

Thanks. I know it doesn't shine like other finishes but the feel of a good wax finish and the fact that it allows the smell of the wood to come out makes this piece feel very nice in the hands.
