Glass Crystal Stand

This was a request from my wife and mother in-law. They had picked up a large glass piece cut to look like a diamond and wanted a pedestal to set it on. I first made a couple pieces that had like a goblet top and then carved out tree forms in the side but the diamond sat too deep and you couldn't see it well. This was the final result.

It is turned out of a cedar 4X4 and finished with one coat of Spar Varnish. They didn't want it super shinny.
