Cottonwood Vase

Its been kind of slow here so I thought I'd add some recent work.

This is a cottonwood vase I turned from a green tree limb that the crew forgot to pick up when after they trimmed some trees where I work. Turned green, boiled for a couple hours then finish dried in the microwave. Finished with spray on lacquer. This is about the limit of the depth I can hollow with my current tools. It is about 12" tall by 4 1/2 wide at the top.
