These are all very good. I especially like the long stems because you have done a great job with consistency of thickness along the length. All the transitions into the foot are well done and the bowls are also well crafted. I haven't picked any one piece to talk about because I think this has been a technical exercise so that's what I'm commenting on. I would like to know how thin the disks on the small piece are because they look very thin from here and that's not easy. Overall, great work.
Frank,
I also like this one, I keep trying for the champagne flute shape, one day I am sure I'll get it right.
Brendan,
The rings are 2mm thick and the stems on the tall ones are 4mm thick. I think I pushed it as far as I could on these, until I get even more practice, May go for 1 mm all round then ????????
Ruining lots of good wood to get a few average bits.
Very nice, am I reading it correct.. the tallest is only 7"? They appear much taller. Personally I like the little one on the left. All and all very nice.
Brad
Don, I have tried this champagne shape quite a lot, getting better but not quite there, practice, practice etc. ( no PM yet, I'll take it as ok..let me know the price and I wll sort it out. Thank you again Don.
Brad, Yup 7", I think that the thin stems make them look taller in the pic.
Thanks again all, for good feedback
