Trun #3

7.5" x 3" pear and poplar. Early try at this type of lidded HF. The captured ring and finial are one piece with the ring painted gold.

Compliments are like candy nice but unnecessary. Criticisms are food for growth.

Nice piece. Looks like the lid is a different wood, or is it just the camera angle? Anyhow, methinks the lid would look better if it contrasted more with the body - like black, maybe? Just my 2Â¢ worth.

Thanks. A black top would be good, however, the chatter work on the top would then be hidden. All in all you my be right and it's worth more the 2 cents. The legs on this piece and all the other tripod legs are attached with .125 turned spindles.
