Plum weed pots

These are a couple weed pots I turned out of a dead plum tree I cut down and tossed in a pile for firewood before I picked up the lathe. I think this is a much better use for the wood.

I love the subtle color variations in plum. I turned a pen with plum yesterday for a customer. Beautiful stuff. You are most correct, these weed pots are a much better use for such pretty wood. 8-)

Thanks. They're fun and the thing I kind of think is odd is how much people like them and there is not much to turning them. You can just let yourself go with the shapes.
