Pink Ivory Ornament

One piece ornament, Pink Ivory, for my grand daughter; hence the color and stylized "girl" shape. Feels heavy - even though it's hollow - but it only weighs in @ 2 oz., well within the AAW guideline. The top would be rounder, but I tightened the screw eye a half a turn too much and it broke - below the surface, of course. I had to carve out some of the wood to get down far enough to grip the broken piece and twist it out.

Shellac (sanding sealer), 3 coats, then "Beall" buffing: tripoli, white diamond, carnuba wax.

Beautiful design and very clean work. Too bad about the eyelet, I have a tendency to do that with drill bits. Great save though, she's going to love Grandpa's present!
