I thought I had commented on this already. Another good one Leo. I use cheap Pine all the time to practice shapes and try things out. Sometimes I get a piece that cuts well so I'll finish it and keep it for reference. I have a box full of Pine pieces that I've practised on and I use them for making jam chucks because they already have a tenon and are quickly mounted and prepared.
Thank for the comments guys, I do enjoy the chase, sometimes they shatter, other times they only break in two !!!!!!!!!!!
