6.5" total height, 5" total width of legs. Hope the legs (there are 3 of them)don't offend as they are not turned. The body and top are weeping willow prunings. Legs, finial and leg supports are poplar. Chatter work is with a home made grinding wheel dresser. Finished with danish oil and poly. Could use some help with the name, any suggestions?
good looking piece. That willow is such a pretty wood. I'm always surprised that more turners don't use willow. Don't even see a lot of willow being offered. Might have to go hunt some down. 8-)
Thanks gents. Actually it seems we are all gents however, I know a few female turners. Maybe we are to macho.
Leo your name comes close, exept for "pot". A combo of tri and urn could become "trun". You will see a few more trun's in this series.
Actually, there are lots of female turners and many are excellent - Bonnie Klein, Cindy Drozda, Lynn Yamaguchi, etc. The woodturning club in Washington had a number of women turners and carvers - they bring a different perspective to the craft.
Meanwhile, I like the legs even though they're not turned . . . who cares?
