Sure looks great. Nice finish, excellent form, and very attractive wood. I really like the collar.
I may have to splurge and ?Buy? a piece of stunning wood to turn.
Olive grows on trees around here. Sorry for the pun. They use olive trees for landscaping here in Phoenix. So it's available every now and then if you are in the right place at the right time.
The voids are filled with coffee grounds and super glue. The little voids are filled with ebony dust.
A fellow hollow form turner! Welcome to WR Paul. The form, finish, collar, wood, everything looks great. I use the same fill on my pieces now too, isn't it great (and cheap) stuff?
Olive is one of my favorite species to turn. Smooth cutting and smells so good. This is a beautiful piece. Glad you've joined in the fun on this site. I look forward to seeing more of your work. 8)
