From left to right, the left is mahogany, 1 piece, the next is unknown, one piece, the 3rd is mahogany and unknown, 3 pieces and the right is maple, one piece. Nothing but sanding sealer and wipe on poly and buffed with steel wool.
Thanks Leo, the one's with the holes are a pain because the wall's are so thin between hole's they blow up during sanding and my finials' have a lot to be desired, but I'm working on that.Wizzy
The left is 6" x 2 1/4" at the ball, the right one is 6 1/8" x 1 1/4" at the ball. The left one is made up of 3 piece's, the ball and finial are the same wood but the top is unknown.Wizzy
Really nice ornaments Mike. Are the ones in the middle solid or hollowed? I've found that my solid ornaments are a bit heavy unless they are quite small.
Hardy, their solid, the next one's will be hollow cause the big one is a bit heavy, but the other one is rather light due to its size, so the big one will go on the bottom of the tree... hehehe
Ken, sorry but I made them on the mini, I need to get another 4 jawed chuck for the big boy, I get tired and aggravated changing the insert for the two different lathe's.
Thanks everyone for your comments and question! Wizzy
