Walnut Bowl

Black Walnut featuring bark and sapwood inclusions as well as birdseye and quilting figure. This tree fell during Hurricane Gustav and a set of 8 bowls were turned for the owner as keepsakes. This one had the most character. Approximately 8" x 3" and sealed with 4 coats of BLO. Comments and critiques are always welcomed!

I like this Leo, it's nice to see a bowl with thicker walls for a change. I prefer thicker sides as it looks more substantial. I know that a lot will disagree with me, but it's just my personal preferance. Lovely work....(y)(y)

Ruining lots of good wood to get a few average bits.
