I thought I would see how it looked if I drilled a hole in the Pine , made a dowel to fit inside it of Willow and turn a little Gobblet. Only 4" tall but it's a tester. Hope you like it.
This is how we learn and hone our skills. I have a supply of cheap framing pine that I practice on and do experiments with, most end up in the bin but I'd rather discover my limitations on cheap wood than the special piece I've been saving.
Couldn't agree more Brendan. This is framing pine that I had left over after making a workshop out of half of my garage.
Ruining lots of good wood to get a few average bits.
