That is absolutely beautiful. Our Scottish sisters and brothers would be interested in that because the grain looks like tartan.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I wish this that I had more of this wood. It came from a tree that was over 3 1/2' thru. The man brought me two slabs he had cut about 4" thick off the butt of the tree to make table tops out of. They had too much rot already to do this with so he told me to see if I could turn any of it. I have two more sound bowl blanks about the size of this one and a ton of game call and stopper blanks out of it. I still have the other slab to saw up, maybe I'll get a few more bowl blanks from it.
