1 st goblet

My first attempt at a goblet. Made of Maple (so far my favorite wood to turn) Two coats of Minwax antique oil to give the wood a little of that golden colour then 8 coats of Target coatings EM2000 gloss water base for a durable finish. Fred Klapp did a demo at our club in March 2009 and demonstrated this finish, he had been using the wine goblet he turned for several years and the finish had proved impervious. I turned this for my sister visiting home from the Vancouver area.

I like the overall look although I think that the pedestal looks a tiny bit big and the goblet itself could've been rounded a bit more. Other than that, it looks nice, good job!
